I thought my wife was joking when she said this to David. We got him an X-box 360 for Christmas, but secretly joked that it will be a box with Xs all around it.

We’ll upload his reaction when he sees THIS box in the morning.

Halloween

My friend Pinguino decided that we should be zombies for Halloween at work.

So… some makeup (latex, tissue paper and makeup) and some fake blood (corn syrup, red food color, peanut butter, and chocolate) later.. and we’re zombies!!!!

I also made a trip to Best Buy in makeup and freaked out the customers there. (I bought a computer, so I was a customer ;)   )

Ok, I shouldn’t call it a “Roman” Candle. It’s actually called a California Candle, made by TNT Fireworks.  It’s close to a roman candle in size, but doesnt shoot out the large balls of fire like the true roman candle.  I have some pics of it up on my Flickr account. It was a 2 pack for like 6 bucks. I only got the one set, because I thought it wouldn’t be that good, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll have to get more of those next year.

We went to Legoland this past weekend to see “Star Wars at Legoland”. They had guys in costume with whom you could take pics with as well as some nice displays of Star Wars Lego sets. I’ll have to go again next year to get a special pic with Darth Vader doing a Force Choke on us.

Thirteen years ago I said the two most important words I can think of (besides “I love you”) to her. When we first met  20 years ago,  you thought I was the most annoying person you would ever know  (She’s probably right..). Four years later when your aunt convinced you to hang out at lunch with us that day, you made me do the oddest thing ever, I opened up. I actually reached out and did something that was out of character with me.  Something I don’t regret to this day.  Later we moved in together and continued our relationship until that day in church when I said some other rather important words in front of the entire congregation of our local church (Also out of character for me), “Will you marry me?”.

The next May of ’97, we stood on the altar in front of our families and friends as I spoke the two words that would forever bond us, “I do…”, uniting the Hayes and Dorado families in sickness and in health, for better or worse, til death do us part. For the next 13 years, we have seen our rises and near falls and probably the best thing to happen for both of us 4 years later, the birth of our son.

I just wanted to say to you Kimberly Rayann Hayes, that if given the chance to do it over again, I would do it without hesitation.

Happy anniversary Pooh.

With the way my work schedule and transportation is (sorry MTA, but train travel after 6 blows), I don’t get much time to go to the gym for a proper workout. I’ve decided to wake up an hour earlier, take a good walk and give the Wii Fit a try. I started on Friday night and got a decent 30 minute workout where I actually sweated. Doing their boxing routine, the hula hoop (like I can do a hula hoop in real life), the basic step and the basic run (where I ran in a circle because I kept moving too close to the TV).

I think if I keep it up I should get some decent results eventually, provided I lay off the burgers and red meat.
